Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
Ruby Rocks is a rock cover band based in Singapore. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we look after it, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
What we collect
- Booking and contact forms. If you ask for a quote or write to us, we keep your name, email address, phone number and message so we can reply and, if you book us, run the show.
- Song requests. If you request a song at a gig, we keep the song title and, if you give it, your first name. We use it only to pick the set list.
- Website analytics. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (pages visited, browser type, approximate location from your IP address) to keep the site running and secure.
Our social media tools
We use software of our own ("Ruby Rocks Studio") to post the band's own videos to our Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube accounts, and to read the statistics those platforms give us about our own accounts, such as follower counts and video views. These tools act only on the band's own accounts. They do not collect, store or process any data about other users, viewers or channels, and they do not post on anyone else's behalf.
YouTube
Ruby Rocks Studio uses YouTube API Services to upload the band's own videos to the Ruby Rocks YouTube channel and to read that channel's own statistics. It can also make small changes to the band's own videos: setting each one to public, unlisted or private, and correcting its title. It only ever works on our own channel, and it never deletes a video. By using these features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
- What we access. Only the band's own channel: our video titles, each video's length and whether it is public, unlisted or private, and the view, like, comment and subscriber counts YouTube shows for them.
- What we don't access. Nothing about any viewer, commenter or other channel. We don't read who watched, liked or commented, only the totals.
- How we use it. To post our videos and to see how they are doing, so we can plan what to share next.
- How we store it. The counts are kept in the band's own records for our growth reports. Any other YouTube data the tool uses is refreshed or deleted within 30 days.
- Who we share it with. No one beyond the services already named on this page.
- Deleting it. Email rubyrockssingapore@gmail.com to ask us to delete stored YouTube data and we will do it and reply within 30 days.
- Removing access. Access to a Google account can be removed at any time on the Google security settings page. Once removed, the tool can no longer upload, change or read anything.
How we use it
To reply to you, to run bookings, to choose what we play, and to understand how our own posts are doing. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising to you.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to operate: our website host, our email provider, and the social media platforms themselves (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube) under their own terms. We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Booking and contact details are kept for as long as needed to handle the booking and our accounts, then deleted. Song requests are deleted after the show. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host. Statistics about our own social media accounts are kept in the band's records for our growth reports; YouTube data other than those counts is refreshed or deleted within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email rubyrockssingapore@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
